PALAVER! is a two year programme of development for artists, producers, and organisations focusing on creating new queer positive performance work for children (QPWFC), supported by Cambridge Junction as part of their 2020 Vision Mixers programme.
PALAVER! will support the development of high quality performance that provides essential representation, space, and dialogue celebrating queer identities for children and families.
Working with some of the UK’s leading queer artists, PALAVER! will a deliver:
- a series of facilitated experimental artist-development labs exploring the radical potential of queer work for young audiences through up-skilling and empowering queer artists to make it.
- a public programme of work at Cambridge Junction, building an audience development model for queer-positive family programming, which will culminate in a festival of queer positive work for children and families.
- Sector development work, advance what it means to make intersectional queer-positive performance work for children and what it means for arts organisations to make meaningful space for queer families.
