Anywhere’s A Dance Floor is a new dance film created in partnership with choreographer and Mother of the House of Mystique, Jason Guest.
The film celebrates creativity, resilience, and fierce spirit of Birmingham’s LGBTQ+ nightlife community and dance cultures. Through occupying public spaces, this new film work is an invitation to the city to create their own dance floors anywhere and everywhere!
The film features original music written and performed by Fatt Butcher, choreography from Jason Guest based on their original concept. It has been produced by The Motion Dance Collective and comissioned by DanceXChange for Birmingham International Dance Festival 2021.
